Fairfield Residence

Portfolio: Fairfield Residence

FAIRFIELD WAS DESIGNED IN 1900 by its then owner, John Torrey Windram, the architect of the Philadelphia Waterworks. The high Georgian brick residence expanded on three occasions, most recently with an addition completed by Archer & Buchanan that includes a service wing and pool house, separate garage with apartment, and modern amenities for living and entertaining. Woven seamlessly into the context of an essentially Edwardian era mansion, the addition is a sympathetic expansion in character with Windram’s original vision that meets the needs of a large, modern family. New systems and finishes were instituted throughout while preserving the architectural integrity of original materials and details.
