Creating Places: The Work of Archer & Buchanan Architecture

Archer & Buchanan Joins Design Trade Resources in Their First Architects Series Event

Archer & Buchanan was honored to be included in the premier Architects Series event hosted by Design Trade Resources at their beautiful Devon showroom. Created with the intent to connect interior designers with architects, the Series’ first event provided Archer & Buchanan with the opportunity to discuss our recently published book, Creating Places: The Work of Archer & Buchanan Architecture.

Beyond discussion of the book, the event presented an occasion for re-connecting with existing partners in the field and for meeting new designers. For Archer & Buchanan, it was important to express our appreciation of the interrelationship between interior designer and architect, and to emphasize how much we value cooperative efforts in projects.

“The close collaboration between Archer & Buchanan and our interior design partners is so important to what we consider to be our most successful projects,” said firm partner Peter Archer. Co-founding partner Richard Buchanan adds, “As architects, we go to great lengths to understand a client’s needs and develop a design specifically tailored to address them. Including an interior designer to collaborate in the process inevitably elevates the whole project by integrating the complete spectrum of materials, finishes and details that fulfill our clients’ needs.”
