Although we design in a broad range of traditional and contemporary styles, we respect the rich traditions and history of Philadelphia, its historic suburbs and rural surroundings. The many historical precedents inform our efforts to preserve and enhance the local heritage by designing buildings that will continue to enrich one of the most beautiful and historic areas of our country.

We begin with the notion that buildings will be inhabited for a century or more and should continue to gain character, beauty and value as time goes on.

The firm’s work draws inspiration from the many wonderful, turn-of-the-20th-century homes designed by Mellor, Meigs and Howe; Walter Dunham; William Price; R. Brognard Okie; Wallace and Warner and others who created the splendor of that period.
