Since becoming a coed institution in 2005 the University has experienced considerable growth in the undergraduate student population and greater demands for the services offered by these departments. The AFA House offers new opportunities to provide a welcoming “gateway” structure near the main entrance to the campus. Though traditional in character the building will incorporate many sustainable design strategies and provide a model for energy efficient design.
