Bryn Mawr Renovation
Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania
Considered for demolition, this c.1950 house on a 4-acre sloped and overgrown property was recovered with major renovations and additions. Besides tight spaces there was no true entry. Additions extend in every direction allowing natural light and views from every room. The open plan compliments existing ceilings with higher ceilings and grand interior finishes compliment primarily French furnishings. The entrance courtyard was expanded incorporating site walls and a new wing. Terraces emulate the main rooms within the house, placing the home firmly in the landscape.
