The Main Line of Philadelphia’s origin grew as each village provided cooler sites for the summer homes of its wealthier citizens. On a twelve acre property backed by dense woods, Archer & Buchanan were faced with creating a home for a family of six with attached grandparents cottage overlooking an undisturbed meadow. Drawing upon inspiration from its Arts & Crafts predecessors, this epic house is the work of the region’s most talented artisans and craftsmen, from the woodwork and glass to the paint and ironwork.
