Richard D. Buchanan, AIA
Richard D. Buchanan, co-Founder of the firm, collaborates on all aspects of the design and construction process for residential projects. As a lead designer, he is adept at blending the frequently competing facets of a project such as client wishes, budget, site parameters and opportunities, into a harmonious reality. Mr. Buchanan’s focus of particular interest is on intensively detailed homes, country properties and equestrian facilities.
Mr. Buchanan’s more than 20-year career includes training and work in Spain and Italy, as well as the execution of numerous projects in the greater Philadelphia and Chester County and along the Northeastern region of the country. Currently he is involved in the design of new homes and the planning and design of equestrian facilities, as well as master plans and design studies for projects requiring faithful renovations to historic public structures.
